J-KAL KALIFORNIA, the artist and owner behind FMR Records who also performs under the moniker “Snoopy-G,” is preparing to release what he describes as his most ambitious project yet. Titled “Talking To 2Pac,” the album is slated for 2026 and represents a significant milestone for the independent label that has quietly built a substantial following in the hip-hop community. The numbers tell part of the story. During his time with Awol distribution, J-KAL KALIFORNIA accumulated over 550,000 streams on Spotify alone before making the decision to change labels. That kind of traction is notable for any independent artist, particularly one building an operation without major label backing. His music remains accessible across multiple platforms including Reverbnation, YouTube, Spotify, and SoundCloud, creating multiple touchpoints for fans nationally and internationally. What distinguishes this independent hip-hop label from countless others is the caliber of artists J-KAL KALIFORNIA has worked alongside. His collaborations read like a who’s who of West Coast and underground hip-hop: Kurupt from The Dogg Pound, Strange Music artist Stevie Stone, and Wu-Tang Clan’s Killa Priest have all featured on tracks with him. These aren’t small names—they’re established artists with devoted followings of their own. The connections extend beyond recorded collaborations. J-KAL KALIFORNIA has met with Snoop Dogg on multiple occasions and engaged in discussions with the West Coast icon. He’s also had conversations with major industry players including Atlantic Records, Def Jam, and Universal, suggesting that the major label system has taken notice of what he’s building independently.

Producer Information
Dj Donut is a producer and Dj with a passionate heart for music and is a dedicated worker. Born in Oakland California and having hometowns such as Los Angeles, and Houston through out his life experience Dj Donut has found the likes of meeting Physco Nip, 3x Krazy, and Too Clean. Artist who inspired Donut are fellow known Rappers and Legends such as Dj Screw, Prince, and Phat Pat, Street Military, Zero and Too Short. His Goals are to make good Music for people, help independent artist with his bass lines and be a hand to those in the community. F.M.R. Records has agreed with a collaboration deal with Dj Donut for some up coming projects and has picked up some nice new tracks from him already stay tuned in for global distribution behind some of his production work through our label..
